Carlos de Solo, Chief Executive Officer

Carlos de Solo has committed his professional life to creating the most effective delivery system for underserved patients in economically challenged areas. With more than 10 years' experience in healthcare, Carlos started his career as senior equities trader for RBC/Carlin. From there, he served as COO and partner of a startup managed healthcare company, then successfully sold the company in 2 years.

In 2011, Carlos founded CareMax, a network of full-risk, community-based Medicare Advantage healthcare and wellness centers. As CEO, he built CareMax from the ground up, using social determinants to serve comprehensive healthcare needs for the most vulnerable senior populations.

To support the CareMax value-based initiatives, Carlos realized CareMax needed targeted, effective data aggregation and analysis. Development of this proprietary software propelled CareMax forward, leading to rapid growth in Florida and initiating a nationwide expansion.

In August, 2021, Carlos was named a Florida Entrepreneur of the Year award winner. In addition to CEO of CareMax, de Solo is on the Board of Directors at Coral Gables Hospital (a Tenet Hospital).

Albert de Solo, Chief Operating Officer

Alberto R. de Solo has more than 12 years of experience in finance, accounting, risk management, and capital management. As Chief Operating Officer, Alberto is responsible for all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to the organization, including budget management, cost–benefit analysis, and forecasting needs.

Alberto joined Managed Healthcare Partners in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. Before joining MHP, he worked as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, where he managed over $150 million for his clients. He specialized in the areas of investment management, small business consulting, private banking, investment strategies, and financial risk modeling. Prior to that, Alberto was a founding partner of a local point of sale computer company, which he successfully sold in 2003.

Kevin Wirges, Chief Financial Officer

Kevin Wirges is Chief Financial Officer of CareMax, transitioning to the company after serving in the same capacity at IMC Health since September 2017.

Between October 2015 and September 2017, Kevin was Regional Vice President, Finance, Medicare East Region at Anthem, one of the largest health benefits companies in the United States. Prior to Anthem’s acquisition of Simply Healthcare Plans in 2015, Kevin held several executive positions at Simply Healthcare Plans, one of the largest privately owned Health Maintenance Organizations in Florida, including Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Controller.

Kevin received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Central Arkansas.

Niberto Moreno, MD, CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER & PRESIDENT, CAREMAX MSO

Dr. Bert Moreno, MD is Chief Medical Officer & President, CareMax MSO, where he oversees the clinical management of all CareMax medical centers and all clinical and performance operations of CareMax’s MSO platform, leading a multi-specialty team of physicians and staff providing comprehensive, whole-person care.

Dr. Moreno received a B.A. in History from Amherst College, then went on to medical school at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. His residency was in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital, after which he became Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School. Before coming to CareMax, Moreno served as Medical Lead for all specialists at Conviva Physician group, a subsidiary of Humana, the largest at-risk provider group in the country.

Meredith Longsworth, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Meredith Longsworth comes to CareMax after 12 years with nationwide healthcare company Mednax Services, Inc. While at Mednax, she served as in-house counsel, garnering substantial experience in public company corporate governance, securities, M&A, executive compensation, and employment.

Meredith received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs. She went on to Nova Southeastern University, where she was awarded her Juris Doctor. She is a member of the Florida Bar.

Erick Fernandez, Chief Accounting Officer

Erick A. Fernandez brings more than 20 years of finance, accounting, and SEC experience to his role as Chief Accounting Officer. Erick comes to CareMax from his position as Chief Accounting Officer at FedNat Holding Company, where he had also served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and VP, Corporate Accounting and Reporting. Prior to FedNat, Erick was Senior Director of Finance and Accounting for Verizon Enterprise Solutions and worked as Director of Budgeting and Reporting and Director of SEC Reporting at Terremark. He also worked at Ernst & Young.

Erick is a Certified Public Accountant and received his Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University.

Teresa McMeans, Chief Compliance Officer

Teresa McMeans has spent nearly 20 years as a leader in the healthcare compliance, risk, privacy, and security space.  Teresa serves as Chief Compliance Officer for CareMax, Inc. where she is responsible for leading the compliance and privacy program.  Prior to this role, she was Vice President, Compliance & Privacy Officer for Steward Health Care Network, and previously held similar leadership roles with several large, integrated healthcare organizations including Banner Health, Sharp HealthCare, and Kaiser Permanente.

Teresa holds a Master of Science in cyber security operations and leadership from the University of San Diego, a Master of Public Health from the George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in health services administration from Auburn University.  She is certified in both healthcare compliance (CHC) and in healthcare privacy compliance (CHPC).

Michael Jarjour, Chief Digital Officer

Michael Jarjour is a senior health care executive with 20+ years of experience steering organizations to new heights of innovation and profitability. His extensive background in leading companies, product and portfolio commercialization, developing healthcare technologies and the teams, infrastructures, and budgets to support them—has increased value in both the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

Over the course of his career, Michael has broken new ground in novel healthcare technologies, revenue-generating commercialization, and fundraising. He came to CareMax from Steward Health Care Network, where he was SVP Operations and Informatics. Among other accomplishments there, Michael devised, implemented, and led the informatics infrastructure for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial risk contracts accounting for $3.4 billion in annual healthcare expenditures and created the informatics strategy leading to Steward Health Care Network’s achievement of CMS 100% Quality Ranking. Prior to that, as President and CEO of ODH, Inc., a population health management company focused on behavioral health, where Michael raised $70 million to fund the transition from the pharmaceutical business to a stand-alone subsidiary of a large Japanese conglomerate. He attributes his success to the determination, expertise, and hard work of his teams, as well as ever-emerging opportunities in healthcare innovation.

Nicole Cable, Chief Experience Officer

Nicole Cable not only serves as Chief Experience Officer for CareMax, Inc., but she is also the primary reason CareMax added an Office of Human Experience (OHX). Less than two years old, the OHX has introduced many significant initiatives reflecting the CareMax dedication to promoting health equity, including creating patient journey mapping and launching a DEIB Corporate Steering Committee, addressing health equity, collection of REaL, and SOGI data.

Nicole has held several executive roles, including Chief Experience Officer at InnovaCare Health; Corporate Director, Patient Experience Programs for ChenMed Family of Companies; and Director of Patient Experience at the University of Maryland Medical Center & Capital Region.

Named one of South Florida Business Journal’s Influential Business Women of 2023 and a top 20 CX Leader to Watch by the Global Power List in 2022, Nicole’s knowledge and experience have made her a popular speaker at engagements across the country. She maintains a blog for the CX network and frequently contributes to patient experience, learning and development, diversity, equity, and inclusion publications. Nicole is also a member of The Beryl Institute’s Strategic Advisory Board, an Advisory Board Member of the Society for Health Systems, and an active member of the Patient Experience Policy Forum.

Nicole earned a Master of Science in Healthcare Sciences with an emphasis on Public Health. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy: Social Policy.

Regla Wuilchrist, Chief People Officer

CareMax Chief People Officer Regla Wuilchrist has worked in the human resources space for more than 15 years. Before coming to CareMax, she was Chief People Officer at Clinical Care Medical Center (CCMC), where she established and developed their HR department and contributed to the merger and acquisition of two 200+ employee companies, 12 additional medical centers, and four ACCESS sites. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Human Resources at Community Medical Group (CMG). Along with also creating their HR department, Regla implemented an HRIS/payroll system reducing payroll processing time by 60 hours a pay period.

After receiving a BBA from Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Regla went on to earn a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Florida International University. She is a SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Mark Llorente, Chief Administrative Officer and Head of MSO Operations

Mark Llorente is Chief Administrative Officer and Head of MSO Operations for CareMax, responsible for existing business operations in the State of Florida. In addition, Mark is responsible for leading several shared services departments and serves as the Head of Operations for CareMax’s Management Services Organization (MSO), a network of ~1,800 affiliated providers currently managing ~200K Medicare value-based care members across the country.

Previously, Mark served as Chief Executive Officer and Partner of Alea Health, LLC, a privately held health services and technology company based in Dallas, Texas. Until April of 2020, Mark served as Chief-of-Staff and Chief Growth Officer at Steward Health Care Network (SHCN), Steward Health Care’s national ACO/MSO and Health Plan division. As Chief Growth Officer, Mark was responsible for developing SHCN’s strategic growth roadmap, maximizing profitability and driving organizational performance. In his role as Chief-of-Staff, Mark leveraged his intimate knowledge of integrated delivery system strategy and operations to achieve SHCN’s day-to-day business objectives.

Mark earned his Master of Business Administration at the University of Miami, with a concentration in international business and received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
